In Europe, the majority of fast-charging stations employ three distinct plug types: DC CHAdeMO, AC Type 2, and DC Combined Charging System (CCS2). To facilitate the charging of an EV equipped with a CCS socket Combo 1 at a Combo 2 fast-charging station, our CCS 1 to CCS 2 Fast Charge Adapter comes to the rescue.
Please take note: This adapter does not incorporate an amperage limiter. Consequently, we do not recommend its use with fast charge stations that exceed a current rating of 150Amps.
For those seeking fast charging up to 200A, we suggest considering our CCS Combo 200Amp adapter
Using the Fast Charge Adapter:
Begin by plugging the Combo 2 end of the adapter into the charging cable.
Next, connect the Combo 1 end of the adapter to your EV's charging socket.
Once the adapter clicks into place, it's ready for charging.
Upon completing your charging session, remember to disconnect the vehicle side first and then the charging station side.
Proper Storage Guidelines:
It's crucial to safeguard your adapter for optimal performance. Store it in a dry location, as moisture on the contacts can lead to malfunctioning. If the adapter becomes wet, place it in a warm, dry area for 1-2 days. Avoid leaving the adapter exposed to the elements, such as direct sunlight, wind, dust, or rain, as these factors can impair its functionality. Additionally, to ensure longevity, avoid excessive twisting or bending during storage; it's best to keep it in a dedicated storage bag.
Built for Versatility:
Our Fast Charging Adapter for Electric Vehicles is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, boasting an IP54 (Ingress Protection) rating. This means it offers protection against dust and water splashes from any direction, ensuring its durability and reliability.
